Hi, I’m Emily!
I was born and raised in Minnesota and have had the privilege of living in South Dakota, Ohio, Mississippi, and now Germany! My husband and I have been married since 2017 and have had Maxine ever since. My 9-5 job is teaching the youth, but this blog is more about what I do outside my work life. I strive to find a healthy balance of traveling, exercising, hiking, reading, and rewatching my favorite shows.

Now you’ve probably heard enough about me and are ready for the star of the blog! Maxine is a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd who weighs 52 pounds (trust me, this is helpful information!). A few characteristics that describe Maxine best: diva, loyal, spunky, and loving. With a key emphasis on DIVA, but to know her is to love her.

When we moved to Europe, I knew I wanted to take Maxine on as many adventures/outings as possible. I mean, who wouldn’t after what these pups have to endure with the plane ride? I followed Facebook groups, other blog posts, and friends’ advice, yet some places in Europe did not have enough details on whether the city or excursion was dog friendly. I could find great feedback on smaller dogs however it takes a lot of digging to find information for larger breeds. I know there are countless dog blogs, but that is because there are countless European cities! Each of us has different experiences and, quite frankly, different dogs. I hope in Maxine’s adventures, you will be able to find the perfect travel for your furry friend.
